Frequently Asked Questions

What training courses does Moreton Group offer?

Moreton Group offers a range of nationally recognised training courses across first aid, CPR, advanced first aid, remote first aid, safety, fire safety and NDIS-related training. You can browse all available courses on this page or use the course category buttons to view First Aid Courses, Safety Training Courses, Fire Safety Courses or NDIS Courses.

How do I choose the right course?

The right course depends on why you need training. HLTAID009 is for CPR training. HLTAID011 is the standard Provide First Aid course for many workplaces. HLTAID012 is designed for people working in education and care settings. HLTAID013 is suited to remote or isolated work, while fire safety and manual handling courses are suited to workplace compliance and safety roles. If you are unsure, view the course details or contact Moreton Group before enrolling.

What is the difference between HLTAID009 and HLTAID011?

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation focuses on CPR skills and responding to cardiac emergencies. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is a broader first aid course that includes CPR, basic emergency response, casualty care and common first aid situations. Many workplaces require HLTAID011, while some roles only require CPR renewal.

Which first aid course do childcare workers need?

Childcare workers, educators and people working in education and care settings usually need HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting. This course is designed for people who may need to provide first aid to infants, children and adults in childcare, school, OSHC and education environments.

Are the courses nationally recognised?

Many courses listed on this page are nationally recognised. These courses are marked on the course cards. Nationally recognised training is designed to meet the requirements of the relevant unit of competency or skill set. Successful students receive the appropriate statement of attainment after meeting the course and assessment requirements.

How do I enrol in a course?

To enrol, select the “Enrol in Course” button on the relevant course card. This will take you to the enrolment system where you can choose an available session and complete your booking. You can also select “View Course Details” if you want to read more about the course before enrolling.

What does “View Course Details” show me?

The “View Course Details” button takes you to the individual course page. This page may include more information about the course content, who the course is suited to, delivery requirements, assessment, duration, prerequisites, pricing and group booking options.

Can I make a group booking?

Yes. Many courses include a “Make a Group Booking” option. This is suitable for workplaces, community organisations, schools, healthcare teams, disability support providers and other groups that need several people trained at the same time.

Do you offer workplace training?

Group bookings may be available for workplaces and organisations. This can be a good option if your team needs first aid, CPR, fire safety, manual handling, NDIS-related or emergency response training. Use the group booking option on the course page or contact Moreton Group to discuss your training needs.

Are course prices listed per person?

Yes, where a price is shown on the course card, it is listed per person. Some courses may show “Enquire About Course” or “Inquire for pricing” instead of a fixed price. This usually means pricing may depend on course type, group size, delivery needs or availability.

Why do some courses say “Enquire About Course” instead of “Enrol in Course”?

Some courses may not have a public enrolment session available at the time, or they may be better suited to group, workplace or custom training arrangements. If a course says “Enquire About Course”, submit an enquiry and the Moreton Group team can help with availability, pricing and booking options.

How long does a course take?

Course duration depends on the qualification or skill set. CPR courses are usually shorter than full first aid courses. Advanced first aid, remote first aid, occupational first aid, fire safety and course sets may take longer. Check the individual course details for the most accurate duration before enrolling.

Do I need to complete online learning before attending?

Some accredited courses may include online pre-learning before the face-to-face practical session. If online learning is required, you should complete it before attending your practical training. The individual course details and enrolment information will explain what is required.

Will I receive my certificate on the same day?

Certificates or statements of attainment are issued after you successfully complete all course and assessment requirements. Timing can depend on assessment completion, online learning, your USI details and administrative processing. Check your course information or contact Moreton Group if you need evidence of completion by a specific date.

What should I bring to training?

You should bring photo identification and any course-specific information requested during enrolment. You may also need your USI for nationally recognised training. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for practical activities, especially for CPR, first aid or manual handling courses.

Do first aid and CPR courses include practical assessment?

Yes. First aid and CPR training usually includes practical assessment. This may involve demonstrating CPR, using first aid equipment, responding to scenarios and showing that you can apply the required skills safely and correctly.

Can I renew my CPR or first aid certificate with Moreton Group?

Yes. If your CPR, first aid or workplace training is due for renewal, you can enrol in the relevant course on this page. CPR is commonly refreshed more often than full first aid. Check your workplace, industry or regulator requirements to confirm the renewal period that applies to you.

Which courses are useful for NDIS and disability support workers?

NDIS and disability support workers may need training such as HLTAAP001 Recognise Healthy Body Systems, HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication, manual handling, CPR and first aid. The right course depends on your role, employer requirements and the type of support you provide.

Which courses are useful for workplace fire safety?

Workplaces may need fire safety training such as PUAFER005 Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation, PUAFER006 Lead an Emergency Control Organisation, PUAFER008 Confine Small Emergencies in a Facility or PUAFER004 Respond to Facility Emergencies. The right course depends on your role in the emergency control organisation and your workplace procedures.

Can I speak to someone before booking?

Yes. If you are unsure which course you need, contact Moreton Group before enrolling. The team can help you choose the right course for your workplace, industry, compliance needs or personal training goals.
